Welcome to the mythic Finnskogen where you can experience its beautiful nature ,wildlife and a lot of adventures combined with this factors. The culturepath called Finnskogleden was created by Finns back in the 1600 centry and was the main communication road for many years. The paths streches allmost 250 kilometer from Eidskog in south to Åmot in north. There is a lot of smaller paths connected to the Finnskogleden, that leads down to the small centers of the commuties, where the Finns could buy clothes, foot and go to churches if the needed.
The smaller culturepaths could often have diffrent names depending on witch way it lead. If you came from the main path and onto the smallerpaths, it could be the Churchpath, the oposit direction and still the same path could be the Finnpath.
The Finnskogen consist of wood, lakes and rivers, and its a great nature that is allmost untuched by human hand and foot. Its not strange that many calls it the Deep woods of Norway. The Finnskogen have a great wildlife where hunting and fishing is a popular adventures for visitors. The lakes and rivers is yearly going through a lot of work, to maintain the good quality of it, allso in the future. Trout, herring, brass and pike is normal catch in Finnskogen lakes and rivers. If you add the special culture to all of this, you have a great possibilty to experience breathtaking adventures at Finnskogen. Glomma, that is the longest river in Norway, follows Finnskogen as a mirror against the westframe. Glomma is one of the best fishing rivers in Norway, and if you og north you find Åmot, and one of the best places for flyfishing in Scandinavia, if you want to listen to the several thousand that allready have tried this river.
