A real nature experience

We have 13 cabins at the center. We have 53 beds all together at the base camp Dæsbekken. Bed with bedclothes and towel one night will give the price of N kr 350. With sleeping bag the price will be N kr 200, -. It will be the same prices for sleeping in lap tent or forest cabins. In our forest camp you can get some back to basic experiences with outdoor activities day and night. We have nice play garden for kids and a lot of activities free for use: trampoline, basket, land hockey, football and dart at the base camp Dæsbekken.

We organize archery, axe throwing, skeet shooting, rifle shooting, paintball, off-road-driving, gocart and other activities on inquiry.

Tubes, bicycles, canoes can be hired for N.kr 50, - pr hour at Dæsbekken. Outdoor bath heated with firewood N.kr 1000, -. The volume of this tub is 3500 liters water and gives place for 12 people together. We have two tubs. We use them all seasons, even in winter. The record of temperature with guests in the tub is –32 degrees Celsius. The tubs temperature is + 37 degrees Celsius.

We do also have an outdoor sauna for 8 people. The price for this is N.kr 50, - each person. We have a nice fishing pool at the camp with nice rainbow trout’s. You can hire a rod for N kr 50,- pr hour and pay N kr 100,- for one fish. The weight is 0,3 – 2,5 kilo. It’s very tasty! Finnskogen (Finnforest) is a fantastic fishing and hunting area where we give you special offers with different kind of hunting and fishing: Moose hunt, deer hunt, fox hunt, forest bird hunt, trout fishing, perch and pike fishing and grayling fishing.



TOURS:

1) A daytrip to Kongsvinger for the big fort and visiting women’s museum and make some shopping, 2) or a daytrip visit the fantastic Forest museum in Elverum with shopping and guiding, will have an amount of N. kr 600, - each day, with one meal and the entrance to two museums included each day.

2) A half day visit to Sweden with guide and a meal in an old Finn farm and an old fashioned fin smoke sauna will be N.kr 300, - each (one small meal is included).

3) The same price is given for a half day visit to the famous Gravberget church and the new Moose farm.

4) We can also offer evenings in our big Gamme (lap tent made of log and round timber.) in the deep forest with grilling and wok on the fire together with local accordion music and stories from the local history. Prise: N. kr 500,-.

5) Summer offer: One day (8 hours) river paddling in Kynna River or on one of the big lakes, with guide N kr 800,-

6) Winter offer: One day Ice fishing on one of the bigger lakes in the Fin forest. We will bring a heating tent (lavvo) with us. Warm soup is included. N kr 800,-

7) Safari: The guests can make a choice between moose, beaver, wolf or bear safari or we combine them all in one-day tour. It depends on season, weather, tracks, temperature and light from the sun, what we will go for. A bear lay visit is included. Full day safari (6 hours) N.kr 600, - half day (3 hours) N.kr 300, -.

8) One day trip (8 hours) with horse and wagon N kr 600,- one meal is included.

9) One day (6 hours) fish excursions to one of the biggest lakes or rivers in the area for perch, pike, trout and grayling fishing.

10) Moose hunt all included ( local transport, meals, hunt) one day N kr 2000,- One week stay will give you one day free of charges.



These offers are mend for groups more than 10 people, but can be changed. We pick the guest up with minibuses at the airport. Transfer both ways Gardermoen - Dæsbekken has a fixed price of N.kr 600, - The distance one way is 150 km. It takes two hours driving non-stop. Guests coming with boat from Denmark or Germany can be picked up paying the same price at the Oslo harbor. We can send pricelist of the menu in English, but you will find it on www.finnskogene.no in Norwegian.

Traditional meals:

Breakfast: N kr 80,-

Lunch: N kr 150, - (Warm meal, based on meat from moose, dear or pig. Sometimes its warm soup from tomatoes, mushrooms or other vegetables, together with bread and butter.

Dinner: N kr 200-250, - Steak from moose, dear and pig. Fried forest birds, ducks, salmon, trout and minced meat from moose, dear and bull. All dinners are included with vegetables, potatoes and drinking water.

Tracking wolfs

The wolf is probably the most mythically surrounded animal on the northern hemisphere. Few animals in the western cultures have so many stories and fairytales attached to it. To some peoples the wolf is yet to day a scary pest and a livestock killer. To others it is the main symbol of a healthy wilderness and an exotic part of a rapidly decreasing biologically diverse nature.

Join us when we enter the world of the wolves and learn about this fascinating and ever hunted predator.

In Åmot to day we have one established and breeding wolf family (the Julussdals family). As long as these wolves are allowed to live here, we arrange tours with wolf tracking from the first snow arrives in the autumn to the last snow disappears in the spring.
